The Amazing Friedberg Brothers
The chief accountants of Obamacare, Lawrence and Mortimer Friedberg, formerly of the Queens, NY, accounting firm known as the “Amazing Friedberg Brothers,” said today that the $716,000,000,000 moved out of Medicare funds and into Obamacare was done “just on paper.”
Lawrence Friedberg stated very clearly, “We didn’t actually move the actual money around in our cars or something like that.  It was just something you do with a pen, you know, when you’re just having a look at how something might work if such and such happened.  It was like that.”
“And, by the way,” added Mortimer Friedberg, “if you put that money into Obamacare and at the same time leave it in Medicare, the numbers balance out real nice. ”
“Tell you another thing,” brother Lawrence beamed. “We showed the double accounting thing to President Obama, and even though he’d never seen a balance sheet in his entire life, he got it right away.
“The guy’s brilliant. All the newspapers and Chris Matthews are right about that,” gushed Mortimer, a lifetime Democrat and son of the late Edna Mindgold, longtime cartoonist for the much missed Daily Worker newspaper.
Brother Lawrence went further in defending the president. “You know how he mispronounced the word “corps” twice in the same speech?  I put that completely on the Columbia University’s French Department.  To be fair, I blame them and not Bush.
